Horse Fencing

Safe & Functional Equine Fencing

Safe equine fencing is often the name of the game for many horse owners. Board fencing tends to be the most popular option because of its simplicity and aesthetics but are you open to other ideas? If there were other options that were safer, longer lasting and lower maintenance would that be compelling? We have the experience to know what works and what does not. Whether you know exactly what you want or you would like a menu of options, we are here to serve.

Budget vs Aesthetics vs Function

Everyone's situation tends to be a little different. There are a variety of fencing options and we are happy to explain the benefits and drawbacks of each. Common fence types for horses and other equines tend to be 3 board, 4 board, no climb wire with top board and flex fence products. Unique fence types combining wire and coated wire can be a longer lasting product than traditional choices. In the end, however not many fences look as good as a fresh 3 board.

Planning Your Fence

Good planning makes life easier. For you and your animals. Consider pasture layout in relation to the barn. Will turn out be as easy as opening a gate? Will there be sufficient shade in the heat of the day? The comfort of your animals is important. How many equines will you have? Will their main paddock be sufficient size to allow grazing? Too many horses in too small of a paddock can amplify social pressures.
